Microsoft presented a case for Windows 11 24H2 being the “most reliable version” of its office operating system ever made.
Long and along this is that the software giant claims that there are much less crash with the 24H2 version compared to the 22:2 hour version of Windows 11.
The XDA developers noticed that Microsoft had made this assertion in an article on the Windows It Pro blog, declaring that: “We are also proud to share that Windows 11 24H2 is our most reliable version of Windows to date. Compared to Windows 10 22h2, the failure rates of inatched restarts fell by 24%.”
This is based on telemetry data collected this month (July 2025) by Microsoft, we are told. The unexpected restarts refer to complete locking of the system and, as indicated earlier in the post, these experiences of the blue screen of death (BSOD) were changed into a more rationalized black screen. This occurred in the latest update of Windows 11 24H2, which has just arrived in preview (but will be a full version next month).
Microsoft highlights the advantages of the new BSOD (which easily uses the same acronym sufficiently) and notes that: “In Windows 11 24h2, we have made significant improvements to the crash emptying collection which has reduced the time that users spend on the [BSoD] detect 40 seconds at only 2 seconds For most consumption devices. “(I should note that the audacity for the accent is put from Microsoft).
In addition, Microsoft reminds us of recent progress in terms of unpleasant accident recovery, namely start -up failures, observing that the most recent update of Windows 11 also represents the deployment and general availability of rapid recovery of machines. Analysis: collision tests, model
There is no doubt that Microsoft has made useful progress here in terms of making Windows 11 devices more resilient, which is the theme of the blog post. But does the latest version of Windows 11, 24h2 really have a quarter of crash less than 10:2 p.m.?
Well, we must obviously be careful about the statistics produced by internal tests – not that I accuse Microsoft of anything devious, but we are all aware that in this type of scenarios, several tests can be carried out and the results selected by cherry. (This practice is common throughout marketing, of course).
There are undoubtedly those who would vehemently say that 24h2 No The most reliable vision of Microsoft’s office operating system which has never been seen – mainly based on all the bugs that came with this version. I will no longer hit these seeds, except to say that there were indeed many at the start, and some were indeed very strange cases.
I have always been of the opinion that the transition to a new underlying platform for Windows 11 (called Germanium) threw a number of unexpected keys in preparation for the operating system.
Microsoft has made a lot of progress in the repair of these bugs, the spirit – although they are not all – and I must accept the statistics that the company presents here at its nominal value. (I can barely refute them with my own crash tests, after all).
However, what I can say is that everything is relative, anyway. I mean that I haven’t seen a BSOD for ages, on my Windows 11 PCs, or even my Windows 10 machines.
So, fewer crashes mean that these BSOD instances are even closer to the next time – and how significant the difference is? I’m not sure. There is no dispute that in contemporary times, complete locks are much rarer under Windows than before. Replace the time of about 15 years, and accidents like this were more a problem (and go back further, the millennial turn, and it was doubly true).
Be that as it may, Microsoft deserves a certain credit here, and also I hope that the new fast rapid recovery feature will be a useful chain for arc repair when a PC will reach a start -up failure (than the most dreaded problems).
I have my reservations on the redrawn BSOD, my mind – as I have already said – and you can bet that Microsoft’s assertion according to which Windows 11 24h2 is the most reliable version ever provoking the grinding of certain gears – in particular with those who adopted 24h2 early, and were unhappy to present themselves to some of the many bugs that did a tour of the version (players were in particular fire).
However, there are anecdotal reports on Reddit that Microsoft finally does things well with the 24H2 version, even if it was wobbly to start – although note that in the same wire, others always signal negative experiences (once again, in particular those that are passionate PC players).
