Microsoft announced its second major investment in Polish digital infrastructure, the company undertaking to spend 2.8 billion PLN ($ 700 million) by June 2026 in order to expand the cloud infrastructure and Artificial intelligence (AI) of the country and artificial intelligence (AI) of the country.
Part of the investment will be in collaboration with the National Polish Defense Agency in order to improve the national cybersecurity framework. Poland is currently classifying 3rd in Europe and 9th in the world in its vulnerability to attacks of threat -supported threats abroad, according to Microsoft’s digital defense report.

Expand the digital sector
Investments are also being carried out in the Polish language model, Bielik, stressing a “vote of trust in leadership and the economy of Poland”, confirmed Brad Smith, vice-president and president of Microsoft.
In 2020, Microsoft launched the first cloud computing region in Poland, creating three independent data centers and investing $ 1 billion in the project.
Between 2020 and 2023, Microsoft also trained 430,000 Polish citizens in digital skills and is committed to training 1 million Polish teachers, information workers, software developers, with “skills and capacities to accelerate Poland’s digital transformation in various sectors ”.
“This is an investment that will provide posts, in particular the young generation, with access to the most modern tools and opportunities offered by the best in the world,” said Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

Microsoft is not alone in its investment in the country, as in 2025, Google spent $ 2 billion on a new data center in Poland to develop cloud computing and IA infrastructure.
