If you think your company hasn’t been spreading the love enough lately, get ready: a new Microsoft Teams update could be about to change all that.
The video conferencing service revealed that it is working to give users the ability to add branded reactions, extending your business’s reach in meetings like never before.
Brand reactions in Teams
In its entry on the official Microsoft 365 roadmap, the company noted that this feature will mean that “organizations can now extend their visual identity directly to meetings” and can be “an easy way to create more cohesive and on-brand meeting experiences.”
IT administrators will be able to upload custom reaction icons reflecting elements of a company’s brand or event theme, which will be instantly available to meeting participants.
The feature is currently listed as “in development”, with an expected release date of March 2026.
This news is the latest in a series of recent updates and upgrades to Microsoft Teams, as the company looks to make it more attractive to users around the world.
Recently, it revealed that users can now have the option to select their preferred skin tone for Microsoft Teams reactions and emojis, as it seeks to provide a more inclusive environment for workers around the world.
Elsewhere, a “unified fun picker” brings together stickers, GIFs and more in one place, which will hopefully make it a little quicker to bring joy to your Microsoft Teams calls and meetings, meaning you’ll no longer need to search for the best reaction or emoji to liven up a meeting.
