- Microsoft reveals a new 5G surface laptop
- Targeted business customers with reliable motion connectivity
- Three editions are available, with open orders now
Microsoft has unveiled a new edition of his surface laptop designed specifically with professional users in mind, because he is looking for a stronger foot on the company’s equipment market.
The new 5G surface laptop has a treatment powered by AI with a neuronal processing unit of more than 40 tops (NPU) and Intel Core Ultra (series 2) processors, a day battery range and an integrated 5G modem to stay connected to collaboration tools such as Microsoft 365.
There will be three models of distinct commercial laptops available, with a 5G compatible flagship edition with a 13.8 inch display available from August 26, joined by 13 inch and 12 inch, which are available now.

Microsoft claims that outings are adding 5G to the surface laptop have become “one of the most requested features of our commercial customers”.
Addition should signify higher support and more reliable connections for videoconferencing calls when they are released, or for field workers, needing to contact the rest of their team.
To guarantee coherent connectivity, Microsoft says that the new 5G surface laptop has a “dynamic antenna system” which continuously adapts to its environment, using six antennas to automatically adjust the signal paths and the power depending on how the device is maintained or used.
The company claims that these antennas are placed above than those usually located in other laptop devices, reducing interference and allowing a stronger connection via a multilayer laminate entirely designed for the device.
It can also switch between Wi-Fi and 5G networks depending on the location, ensuring that the user remains connected and can act as a mobile hotspot wherever Wi-Fi is not available, with Nanosim and Esim options also available.
Microsoft says that it has tested the devices with more than 100 mobile operators in 50 countries, as well as real -world business environments, which means that IT administrators can deploy and provide updates and apply business policies – wherever their users are.
This is also helped by the surface management portal within the Intune Administration Center, which can provide health visibility, compliance and use of devices – and thanks to safety co -pilot, administrators can use AI -powered tools to act quickly to detect problems, assess risks and respond with precision.
“Surface laptop 5G represents innovation from start to finish from Microsoft in action,” Nancie Gaskill de Microsoft wrote in a blog article announcing the press release.
“The hardware, software and cloud services are meeting to provide intelligent, secure and connected experiences for today’s mobile workforce. The surface for the business portfolio offers a complete solution for each user scenario, from flexibility to tablets to high-performance laptops, all supported by modern Microsoft management.
