The technology giant has brought a brand new agent mode to Excel and Word to help office workers increase and speed up production, as well as a dedicated office agent for Copilot Cat, who will later come to PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
With new agents, users can transform prompts into “high quality documents, etc., calculation sheets and presentations”.
Microsoft gives office users of new AI agents to work with
Starting with Excel, Microsoft adds GPT-5 reasoning models to decompose the complex stems of step by step. The company has acknowledged that the most powerful features of the software are only available for expert users, but in agent mode, users can generate outings, assess the results and solve problems.
