Miley Cyrus had fun at Alex Cooper’s expense at Hannah Montana First 20th anniversary special, calling out her neighbor and host for being stupid about where she lives.
Speaking to fans at Sunset Gower Studios in Hollywood on Monday night, Cyrus, 33, delivered the playful stunt with a smile.
“Alex is a superfan, a little scary, she’s also my neighbor, which is also scary,” she began.
“She got some money, then she moved next door to me, so there was no other host.” She then recalled Cooper’s supposedly surprised reaction upon arriving at her house.
“Yeah, it was weird. She said, ‘Oh my God, do you live here?’ She interviewed me at my home five years ago, you know very well where I live!”
The crowd laughed and applauded, and Cyrus continued with genuine warmth, thanking Cooper, 31, for the welcome and for being “so incredibly dedicated to Hannah Montana“.
This dedication clearly shaped the entire special.
Cyrus said Variety in an interview published on March 18, Cooper brought something to the project that she couldn’t have handled alone.
“She understands Hannah in a way that I couldn’t understand,” she said. “I never got to see Hannah go crazy in the pit with other kids.”
Cooper helped organize the set, the music and even arranged an appearance by Selena Gomez. “I love Selena, but I didn’t know how much our friendship meant to the fans,” Cyrus admitted.
The Disney+ special was officially announced on February 17.
While Hannah Montana Alumni Emily Osment and Mitchel Musso were unable to attend and both took to social media during premiere night to share fond memories of the show.
THE Flowers The singer, engaged to drummer Maxx Morando since December 2025, clearly had a lot to celebrate that night, including the neighbor drama.
