Mining Giant Foundry Supercarge The security of the Bitcoin Layer-2 rootstock

Foundry, the largest Bitcoin operating swimming pool in the world by Hashrate, announced that it diversified its operations and strengthens the rootstock of the Bitcoin network of the safety layer 2 thanks to the merger of the farm.

The merged exploitation allows minors to simultaneously extract two or more cryptocurrencies that use the same hash algorithm without compromising global mining.

The movement injects 200 exams per second to bring the Rootstock total to 740 EH / S – approximately 80% of the total calculation power which currently guarantees the Bitcoin network – to secure connections.

For the foundry, this represents a new income opportunity, because the bitcoin extraction pools choosing to merge mines win 79% of the Rootstock transaction costs paid in RBTC, while taking advantage of their existing bitcoin extraction infrastructure .

By merging the mining, the foundry improves the safety of rootststock without additional energy costs, contributing to a more robust and innovative bitcoin ecosystem. Rootstock is a Bitcoin Layer-2 network that operates network security while providing intelligent contract features and compatibility of the Ethereum virtual machine.

Correct (February 6, 16:10 UTC): Corrects the amount injected by the foundry at 200 eh / s, bringing the rootstock to 740 EH / S everywhere. An earlier version of this story said that Foundry added 740 eh / s.
