- Powerful Ryzen Ai Max + 395 APU could make his debut in New Minisforum Mini-PC
- Up to 128 GB of RAM expected in the Ministerum X1 serial device based on Stix Halo
- Unsopined mini-PC surfaces in Geekbench with familiar name conventions
Minisforum seems to work on a new high -end mini PC powered by the latest Halo Stix chip from AMD.
The device, which has not yet been officially appointed, should be launched as part of the company AI X1 series.
It would be included in the Ryzen Ai Max + 395, a powerful APU which relies on the Zen 5 architecture. The chip combines strong CPU performance with a powerful IGPU and can be associated with up to 128 GB of RAM.
Geekbench scores
As spotted by IthomeSeveral entries referring to the “Micro Computer Series (HK) Tech Limited AI” surfaced on Geekbench, suggesting a ministerum link.
Geekbench’s reference results show multi-core scores greater than 21,000 and monomoric results around 2,900. These place the device in front of the models based on AI 9 hx 370 existing minisforum, which generally obtain results closer to 19,000 and 2,300 respectively.
There are already a number of mini-PCs fed by the Ryzen AI Max + 395, including the colorful Smart 900, Beelink AI Mini and Aoostar Nex395. Until now, most mini PCs come from less known or regional brands, rather than big names like Dell, Asus and MSI.
The current AI X1 and N5 PRO lines from Minisforum already offer solid CPU performance. But the IGPU in the 395 offers a more notable jump in graphic tasks.
This gap is particularly clear compared to models like the Ryzen Ai Max + 395 GMKTEC Evo-X2, which is already on sale.
Although Ministerum has not confirmed anything officially, the names of disclosed peripherals correspond closely to those used in the AI X1 Pro series.
We are delighted to see what Minisforum offers, because its devices are always among the best mini PCs that you can buy. We have already seen indices of a 2U Rackmount server fed by the Ryzen AI Max + 395 processor from AMD of Minisforum, but the MS-S1 Max is a completely different beast.
