ISLAMABAD:

Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi on Tuesday pledged to modernize Pakistan’s railways, saying ongoing reforms – including state-of-the-art stations, digital upgrades, improved passenger services, increased revenue collection and expanded regional connectivity – are key to transforming the sector.

He expressed these views during his speech at the 2025 National Tourism Award ceremony.

Abbasi urged Discover Pakistan to highlight the reforms, successes and public service initiatives of Pakistan Railways, noting that the broadcaster already plays a vital role in showcasing the country to the world.
