LAHORE:
Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Sunday said the government was taking effective measures for the welfare of farmers.
Addressing a ceremony, the minister highlighted that the agricultural sector plays a key role in the country’s development.
He said the country’s economy was moving in the right direction due to the prudent economic policies of the incumbent government. He noted that security forces were making unprecedented sacrifices in the war against terrorism, adding that Pakistan’s defense was in safe hands.
He paid tribute to workers who worked tirelessly in flood-affected areas to help and evacuate people safely.
