In a statement, the spokesman for the Ministry of Economic Affairs said that the positions presented during the violation should be considered unauthorized and not representative of the ministry’s opinions or policies.
The following tweet was made from the account after being hacked.
The incident occurs two days after the Pakistan Cyber-Urgent national team published a red alert in response to the increase in cyber-men as a result of recent military tensions with India.
The opinion had warned against attempts to disrupt critical national networks and to spread disinformation by misleading messages, phishing patterns and manufactured stories.
The ministry said that efforts were underway to guarantee the compromise account and investigate the violation.
The tensions between India and Pakistan intensified following a deadly attack on April 22, 2025, in Pahalgam, India illegally occupied Jammu-et-Cachemire (Iiojk), which cost the life of 26 men as an indicator that quickly blamed the Pakistani elements for the attack, despite the presentation of any evidence, denied.
India continued by launching “the Sindoor operation” which targeted several locations in Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Cashmire (AJK), leading to the death of 31 civilians, including women and children, and 71 injured.
In response, the Pakistani army launched a reprisal operation, lowering five Indian fighter planes and a combat drone.
The military spokesman confirmed that the plane included three Rafale planes, a MIG-29, a plane from the Surie series and an Israeli manufacturing drone.
These were killed on Bhatinda, Jammu, Akhoror, Srinagar and Avantipur, he said.
Later, New Delhi started deploying drones in Pakistani airspace. The Pakistani army reportedly reported to intercept and destroy 77 Israeli manufacturing drones that have been launched by India to target civil and military sites.
