Zack Cozart, a 2017 National League All-Star, remains firm on his stance on minors undergoing gender reassignment.
The former Cincinnati Reds shortstop claimed in a social media post Friday that he was “told [his] his reputation is “tarnished” because of his conservative views and his belief that minors should not be able to “change their gender.”
“Let me be clear…if these things are true [because] I don’t think any child should be allowed to change sex, so be it…,” Cozart proclaimed.”[You] be 18, do what you want [you] I want, but when [you] I can’t get a tattoo under 18, I’m probably on the right side of the argument saying [you] I shouldn’t be able to change [your] sex before 18. »

Cozart has also expressed his opinion on transgender athletes in women’s and women’s sports.
“Imagine being against this lol,” Cozart posted on X in July 2024 in response to a post quoting President Donald Trump as saying: “We will not have men playing women’s sports. This will end immediately.”

DARRYL STRAWBERRY THANKS TRUMP FOR FORGIVENESS THAT MAKES HIM “TRULY FREE AND CLEAN OF ALL MY PAST”
Earlier this week, he appeared to post a sarcastic post about the Olympics’ reported decision to ban transgender athletes from women’s events after finding evidence of benefits for biological males.
“Wow, did they just find it?” he wrote.
Cozart did say he would no longer support Trump if the United States went to war in June, but he reversed course after a ceasefire was announced at the time.
“I’ll happily eat my words for what happened today…a lesson learned to trust this man,” he wrote on X.
