The American league winner of American Cy Young is in motion.
The Blue Jays de Toronto acquired Shane Bieber from the Cleveland Guardians in exchange for the prospect of pitch Khal Stephen, the teams announced on Thursday.
Bieber, 30, did not start this season when he recovered from Tommy John’s surgery, which he suffered last season.

In free agency, this last off -season, Bieber signed a one -year contract with the Guardians, worth up to $ 10 million which included a 16 million dollars player in 2026.

Bieber had spent his entire career at the age of seven with the Guardians.
The Blue Jays currently have five starting launchers – Kevin Gausman, Chris Bassitt, Jose Berrios, Eric Lauer and Max Scherzer – but a team can never have enough pitch.

Stephen, 22, was the choice of Blue Jays in the second round in the recovery of the MLB 2024 of the state of Mississippi. Through three levels of minor league this season, Stephen prospered.
Stephen has a 9-1 file with a 2.06 in 17 departures and 91.2 rounds this season.
