Activision has announced new changes to Call of duty HQ which will see the abolition of two games.
As detailed in a new Steam blog article, starting today at 9 a.m. PT / 5 p.m. BST / 12h he, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 And Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be deleted from Call of duty HQ game launcher and main installation to become independent downloads.
When the change comes into force, players will have to relocate each game separately to access it.
The publisher also said that the inherited content linked to Modern war 2 And Modern war 3 Modes in the principal Call of duty The installation will be automatically removed on August 7, “to release the storage space”, but the operators and the weapons for War area will not be affected.
Activision did not give a reason for the last change, but it was probably made in anticipation of Black ops 7which should be published later this year and be part of Call of duty WHEN
Last year Black ops 6 will remain on the launcher, so the decision could be wanting to release the hard drive space for the players.
Black ops 7 Was announced last month during the Xbox 2025 game showcase and will be released for PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC.
Developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, the last entry will return in a futuristic setting and will be defined in 2035, 10 years after the events of Black ops 2.
