Mohin Naqvi reaffirms federal support for anti -terrorist efforts in Balutchistan

The Minister of the Interior, Mohin Naqvi, reaffirmed the unwavering support of the federal government in Balutchistan in its fight against terrorism, during a high -level meeting held in Quetta to examine public order. In a statement published on Saturday, Naqvi co -chaired the special session at the Secretariat of the chief with the Minister -in -chief Sarfraz Ahmad BUGTI.

The meeting focused on the global security situation in Balutchistan, the performance of law enforcement agencies and current operations against “Fitna-E-Hindustan”-a term used for terrorists sponsored by the Indians operating in the region.

Participants included the Balutchistan IGP, the body frontier (North) IG, the Department of Terrorism DIG, Special Branch DIG, the DG levies, senior officials of the Maison and Tribuing Affairs Department, and other representatives of the law enforcement agencies.

Chief Minister BUGTI informed the meeting on the current security scenario, the progress made by the security forces and the updates on the implementation of the provincial action plan against terrorism. He also identified obstacles hindering the execution of the plan and invited suggestions to overcome them.

Addressing the rally, Naqvi said that the end of the terrorists of “Fitna-E-Hinstan” would be shameful. He said the militants supported by India and their facilitators “had no room to hide in Pakistan” and swore that they would be brought to justice at all costs. “Those who dispute the brief of the state will be treated with an iron fist,” he added.

He ensured complete cooperation of the federal government to restore peace in Balutchistan. He said the center was firmly with the provincial government and a strong coordination mechanism existed between the two.

CM BUGTI said the war against terrorism was not only the responsibility of the security forces but of the whole nation. He said the action against subversive and terrorist elements had still intensified.

He added that all the public institutions of Balutchistan were fully active and worked in full coordination to restore peace and order. He stressed that the sacrifices of the people and the security personnel would not be in vain. He also underlined the resolution and confidence of the nation, expressing optimism that Pakistan would overcome the threats posed by its enemies.

Earlier in the day, Naqvi arrived in Quetta for a day visit. It was received at the airport by provincial ministers and senior officials. When he arrived at the house of the chief minister, he was officially welcomed by CM Bugti. The two leaders also paid tribute to the martyrs and offered prayers for security personnel who had lost their lives in the exercise of their functions.
