Federal Interior Minister Mohin Naqvi visited the Holy Family Hospital in Rawalpindi to inquire about Tauqer Abbas, who was injured in an Indian drone attack near the Rawalpindi cricket stadium.

Tauqeer Abbas, whose cousin Ali Haider has been martyred in the attack, is currently receiving medical treatment for eye injuries. Minister Naqvi welcomed Abbas’s courage and spoke with medical staff of the treatment plan, in particular concerning his eyes injury.

The Minister assured that all possible efforts would be made to restore Abbas and ordered the hospital to provide the best possible care. He also offered a special prayer for the rapid recovery of Abbas.

Naqvi reiterated the importance of the sacrifices made by the martyrs of Pakistan and expressed his sincere condolences.

He also underlined the altruism of the people affected by the attack, noting that Abbas, Haider and their cousin Manzoor Faisal had supported their family by selling cheeseburgers near the cricket stadium.

Previously, the Pakistani army intercepted and destroyed about 30 drones of Israeli manufacturing heropé, sent by India to target civil and military installations on May 8, while army soldiers inflicted heavy losses on the enemy in various places in the control line (loc) in cashmere.

The slaughtered drones have been detected in several cities, including Rawalpindi, Gujrat, Attock, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Nankana, Ghotki and the District of Malir-Malir, said interimable public relations (ISPR).

On the loc, said security sources, the Pakistani troops actually responded to the unrealized shooting of the Indian army in the Pando sector, destroying their battalion headquarters in Nanga Tak and inflicting heavy losses elsewhere.

Strong explosions have been heard in several areas while Pakistan air defense systems have started intruding drones.

An ISPR official said it was for the first time that this Israeli (UEAV) – Heron MK 2S, which flies at altitudes to 35,000 feet – was neutralized during the fight.
