- Monster Hunter Wilds could be on its way to Nintendo Switch 2
- Data mining group discovered console graphics presets
- Potential port can support both quality and performance settings
Capcom Wild Monster Hunters could land on Nintendo Switch 2 in the near future.
Spotted by the subreddit r/GamingLeaksAndRumours, a China-based datamining group discovered a massive amount of graphics presets for the game across all platforms, including docked and handheld modes for Switch 2.
The Reddit thread includes a link to a Google Sheets spreadsheet that compiles all of these presets, giving players the ability to adjust their settings on the PC version of Wildlands to see what the game might look like and run on Nintendo’s console.
Docked mode appears to offer quality and performance mode options; the former offers better settings at 30fps, while the latter aims for 60fps but with reduced visual quality.
Capcom has neither confirmed nor denied an upcoming Switch 2 port for Wild monster hunters, so definitely take these data mining efforts with a pinch of salt. After all, the existence of Switch 2-compatible graphics presets doesn’t directly translate into confirmation.
However, Capcom’s upcoming Switch 2 support is quite strong. Nintendo’s machine is becoming more and more popular as Resident Evil Requiem And Pragmats the first day of release, as well as Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection.
Additionally, series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto confirmed in the December Monster Hunter Showcase video that Title Update 4 (releasing December 16, 2025) would be available. The savages latest major content update. As such, a future Switch 2 port would be complete and could even line up with a potential expansion for the game, although it’s admittedly nothing more than speculation at this point.
Personally, I think a Switch 2 port of Wild Monster Hunters will be a tough sell at this point, at least for players who have already put many hours into the game. Its live-service nature and lack of cross-save support mean that starting from scratch on a new system isn’t particularly appetizing.
Then again, if Capcom plans to update cross-save support – and if it can provide a stable experience on Switch 2 – then I’m sure many players would be more willing to double down.
