Mookie Betts Stubs Toe walking towards the bathroom in the dark, lack of play

The Los Angeles Dodgers were without Star Mookie Betts in the victory of the 8-5 team against New York Yankees due to a bizarre toe injury that he would have undergone to a bathroom.

Betts, 32, said that he had struck his toe in a wall as he headed for the bathroom in the dark, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The X -rays revealed that Betts fractured the toe, according to ESPN.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Betts would lack matches against Yankees on Saturday and Sunday, but he doesn’t expect the eight all-star to do the injured list.

“I am confident saying that it is day by day,” said Roberts, “but putting a shoe today was difficult for him.”

Betts has a year of decline, compared to his career numbers. The 2018 MVP AL has an average of the stick of .254 with eight circuits and 31 products produced and one .742 OPS in 53 games this season.

The previous injury of Betts is not the first for dodgers this season. The first goal player Freddie Freeman had a similar incident which made him miss nine games after slipping in the shower and aggravated his right ankle repaired surgically.

“Mookie’s toe is a bit weird, like what happened to me,” said Freeman after the Dodgers’ victory. “You have struck the slowdowns along the way. We did it last year, and we did well. I hope we can do it again this year.”

The Yankees (35-21) and the Dodgers (35-22) will play the second match in their three-game series on Saturday at 7.15 p.m. on Fox.
