- Spotify Music Pro should be launched later in 2025
- Remixing tools and access to concert tickets could appear
- The main draw will be the audio quality without loss
It was in February 2021 – four years ago – when Spotify Hifi was announced for the first time, and we are still waiting for him to appear. Now, a new report suggests that a full launch could occur before the end of the year, while answering certain unanswered questions on the service.
According to Bloomberg, the subscription will be called Spotify Music Pro and will cost you an additional $ 6 in addition to the $ 12 per month plan. It is an increase of 50%, which would probably cost an additional £ 6 in the United Kingdom and $ 7 in Australia.
In addition to better quality audio – teased several times over the years – this additional money will apparently allow you to access bonus remixing tools (including certain features supplied by AI to crush the pieces together) and offers on concert tickets.
“Persons familiar with the issue” that Bloomberg said to say that Spotify leaders think that fans of committed music will pay more for their subscription – potentially offer the streaming service for valuable additional income.
A long time
According to the report, Spotify explores a variety of options for its Music Pro plan, and will test a certain number in 2025. The complete experience will apparently deploy in phases, so subscribers will not necessarily get everything immediately.
This corresponds to the leaks and rumors that we have seen since 2021: it seems that Spotify does not really know what to offer or for how much. We have even seen several names for the subscription plan, including Spotify Supremium.
The name of Music Pro actually appeared last year when it was identified in the Spotify application code. Another feature that obtained a reference was the filtering of the reading list, which could well be part of the package when it finally appears.
We also heard that the new service would be available as a supplement to Premium, rather than something completely separated. Spotify promised to “double” on music in 2025, so let’s hope that the new level will be included in this plan.
