The National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC), a unit of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), has published multiple weather alerts based on the impact while the country accumulates for general rains, strong winds and thunderstorms from June 29 to July 5.
The Neoc warned that strong precipitation could trigger urban floods, sudden floods and landslides in several regions, including cashmere, northeast of Punjab, the region of Potohar, Islamabad and Khyber-Pakhtunkh upper and central.
“Urban floods are probably in the low areas of Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Kohat, Rawalpindi and Islamabad, in particular from 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 am on June 29,” said the alert.

Rain -related emergencies can also emerge in the districts of Jhelum, Gujranwala, Siackot, Lahore and Faisalabad, while significant precipitation in the Sargodha division can cause localized floods.
In the northern regions, including the Hazara and Malakand divisions in Kp, and the Jhelum and Poonch valleys of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, sudden floods and landslides are possible. Neoc warned against low -level floods in the Kabul river in Nowshera, as well as average flows in the Swat river.
Similar risks have been identified in tributaries and ice rivers in Chitral and Hunza, including Khunjerab, Ghujerab and Baldu rivers. “Transport in hilly and mountainous areas could be disrupted, as well as communication and electricity services,” said the press release.

Heavy very strong precipitation is also planned for Southern Sindh, in particular Hyderabad, Thitta, Badin and Karachi, where the risk of urban flood should increase sharply from July 2.
The NDMA has called on all provincial and district administrations to remain on high alert, activate emergency plans and ensure that warnings are communicated in local languages.
“Citizens are invited to remain informed by official opinions, to avoid traveling near rivers and ice rivers and to keep emergency supplies,” he added. He also encouraged the public to download the Pak NDMA Disaster Alert application for real -time updates.
