More than 260 cleaned churches, washed for Easter

Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) finished cleaning and washing of 266 churches across the city before the Easter festivities.

The company also paid wages and bonuses in advance to more than 15,000 Christian workers on this occasion.

Cleaning operations have also been implemented in 79 residential areas of ten communitys, while sanitation teams were deployed in 66 eminent churches, notably the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, the Anarkali Church, Don Bosco, the Nolakha church and the church of Saint Anthony.

According to a press release, zero waste initiatives have been implemented in key Christian districts such as Youhanabad, Begum Kot, Christian Park, Wandala Road and Church Mohalla.

The CEO of LWMC, Babar Sahib Din, said that the teams would remain active during the Easter holidays.
