- Microsoft is preparing Windows XP Crocs, nicknamed the “50th exclusive birthday”
- It will be the first version of Windows to take this step, if it is true
- The fangs are delivered with six jibbitz and a transport ticket
Yes, Microsoft still celebrates its 50th anniversary, and although the company has turned a lot back, it is also looking forward to. Uh, taking at least one step forward.
Of course, we have seen emblematic uid sweaters from Windows, one with a mines flirt and one with Clippy, but Windows XP is going where no other version of Windows has ever disappeared – to Crocs.
Techradar has confirmed with the technology giant that the exclusive Microsoft 50th hooks – alias the Windows XP hooks – are official and have obtained five images of the shoes.
According to A rod reportWindows XP Crocs is currently available for internal order by Microsoft employees – for $ 80 – with history noting that employees “Get the first dibs ” before a “Global launch.“”
We have seen other collaborations from the CROC brand, with many Disney properties included – I mean, Kachow, Lightning McQueen Crocs that light up – as well as fashion houses and even McDonald’s. Windows XP crocs, however, bring the iconic Green Hills and Blue Skies wallpaper to the shape of the shoe.
And I know what you think, but the images of the Windows XP fangs confirm indeed the existence of a Jibbitz Clippy (aka what Crocs calls their shoe charms). Windows XP crocs will be delivered with emblematic help as well as a pointer, the MSN Butterfly, a conventional Internet explorer logo, the recycling tank and a folder. This goes to six Jibbitz in total.
You also get a cord tote inspired by the classic, now emblematic wallpaper, Windows XP. Microsoft confirmed the existence of the fangs and shared these images, but did not share anything more on prices or availability.
At a reported price of $ 80, Windows XP fangs are not cheap, but if you are a Microsoft collector or someone who has also chosen to get the ugly previous holiday sweat ones, they could be the perfect shoe to add to your collection. Of course, I think many would be happy if Microsoft takes the path of other retro drops, fueled by nostalgia – it could be fresh skin for windows or even another drop of wallpaper, and it would always be a great way to honor the 50th.
You may remember Microsoft dropped a Limited edition of the 50th anniversary of the surface laptopwhich looked quite elegant. It is also a more subtle way to celebrate 50 years of Microsoft than blue and green fangs.
Stay with Techradar, because once we learn more about the prices and how to get a pair of exclusive Microsoft 50th hook, we will be sure to update this post.
