Two children from the head of Jamiat Ulema-E-Islam (JUI-F) MUFTI KIFAYATULLAH were slaughtered, while the clerk and his wife were seriously injured in an incident involving one of his sons at their residence in Batkhela, district of Malakand de KHYBER-PAKHTUNKHWA, reported on Saturday.
According to levi officials, the incident occurred in the son of Batkhela Tehsil where Mufti Kifayatullah’s son opened fire inside the family home. The attack left Mufti Kifayatullah and his wife injured in a critical way, while two of their children – a son and a daughter – died on the spot.
Sources of levies have added that another son and daughter of the Clerc were also seriously injured during the shooting and were transported urgently to a neighboring hospital with the deceased and other members of the injured family.

The rescue teams reached the premises shortly after the incident and transported the bodies and injured for medical assistance.
Managers confirmed that Mufti Kifayatullah was out of danger, although he remains under medical care. The alleged shooter, identified as his son, fled the scene after the attack.
Sources have also revealed that the accused would have been addicted to crystal methamphetamine (commonly known as “ice”), which may have contributed to the violent episode.
Malakand Levies has launched a human hunt for the suspect, and an investigation is underway.
