Mufti Taqi Usmani, an eminent Islamic scholar and chief of Wifaq-Ul-Madaris, called on the Muslim world to impose a complete boycott of Israel, condemning the global community.

He stressed that protests against Israel should be peaceful, while warning that any damage to individuals or property is strictly prohibited by sharia.

The call was made at the Palestine National Conference held in Islamabad on Thursday where many Islamic scholars from various schools of thought gathered to fight against the current crisis in Gaza and Palestine, Express News reported.

While condemning the failure of Muslim countries to act against Israel, Mufti Usmani questioned the purpose of the Muslim armies and their weapons if they are not used to defend the oppressed Palestinians in Gaza. “If the armies of Muslim countries do not engage in jihad on Gaza, what are they for?” He said.

The Rennu Clreric said that it was essential to keep Gaza alive and completely boycott the products of Israel and its supporters while emphasizing the need to also boycott the companies that help Israel.

However, he stressed that protests against Israel should not harm the life or property of anyone, because there is damage to others by the launch of Pierre or violence is prohibited in Sharia law and boycott of Israel and the products of his supporters should be transported peacefully.

The call to non-violence came after a crowd attacked a branch of an international fast food chain in Mirpurkhas on Tuesday evening, damaging the building and fireing a game.

MUFTI USMANI reaffirmed the position of Pakistan, stressing that the country has no relationship with Israel and that it will not recognize the State of Israel.

He reminded the public that the founder of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, said Israel an illegitimate state before the creation of Pakistan, and this position remains unchanged.

The MUFTI USMANI has also criticized the United Nations for having allowed Israeli violence and noted the failure of the global community to hold responsible Israel while calling for a clear and unified Djihad declaration against the Israeli occupation, stressing that Muslim leaders cannot avoid their duty.

The speakers of the conference underlined the disastrous situation in Gaza, with reports indicating that more than 60,000 Palestinians have been martyred, including women and children.

Religious blamed the United States to encourage Israeli aggression and criticized the inaction of international human rights organizations because they also underlined the growing humanitarian crisis, local populations being inappropriate and the reports of Israeli attacks on health and journalists.

“Israel is a terrorist state,” said Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Jamiat Ulema-E-Islam (JUI-F). “The direction of the Muslim world is inactive and the silence is deafening.”

He stressed that the time of the simple conviction was finished and called for military intervention in Gaza. “We have to send our forces because jihad is now a religious obligation,” he said.

Former Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, spoke of the current genocide of the Palestinians, urging the Islamic nations to stop simply condemning Israel’s actions and to take measures to help the people of Gaza.

He praised the resistance of Hamas fighters in Gaza and called for a military response from the 57 Islamic nations, questioning their true commitment to the Palestinian cause.

The conference ended with a unanimous declaration calling for a range of actions, including the immediate cessation of diplomatic relations with countries which recognize Israel and the establishment of a contactless policy until an unconditional cease-fire was obtained.

The religious urged the United Nations to hold an emergency session and called on Pakistan to carry out the accusation in this case.

The conference also said tomorrow “oppressed Palestinians’ day”, urging Muslims worldwide to show solidarity with the Palestinians, who have endured decades of occupation and violence.

Palestine National Conference Resolution

The conference has published a detailed statement, describing Israel’s actions as an open genocide and accusing the United Nations Security Council and the International Court of Inaction.

The declaration called jihad as an obligation for all Muslims, citing the Islamic principle of “Al-Aqrab Fi al-Aqrab” (the closest must be helped first) in the face of the suffering of Palestine.

The declaration also denounced the remarks of American president Donald Trump on the move of the Palestinians, claiming that Palestine, including Jerusalem, is a legitimate and historical right of the Palestinian people.

“The Muslim world must meet to support Palestine,” concluded the declaration. “The occupation of Israel is illegal, and the region, including Palestine, belongs to the Palestinians.”
