Lahore: Multan Sultans won the draw and chose to fight first against Peshawar Zalmi in the 25th game of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 at Multan Cricket Stadium on Monday.

Despite Multan’s historic domination over Peshawar with 11 impressive victories in 16 games, this season has painted a picture different from the two parties.

The sultans find themselves languid at the bottom of the table with a single victory of eight games and a net execution rate of -2.597, while Zalmi occupies the fifth position with three victories from seven games and a net execution rate of -0.507.

This meeting marks the second meeting between these teams in PSL 2025, their previous confrontation causing an overwhelming 120-point victory for Peshawar Zalmi in match 9-a striking reversal of traditional dynamic tête-à-tête.

This result embodied the lamentable campaign of the sultans, which saw them mathematically eliminated from affirmations in the playoffs, whatever their performances in their two remaining games.

On the other hand, Peshawar Zalmi maintains thin hopes to reach the playoffs, but must win the three remaining games while hoping that other results go to them.
