An explosion occurred inside a mosque in Azam Warsak Bazaar, in southern Waziristan, injuring several people, including the Amir district of Jamiat Ulema-Elam (JUI), Abdullah Nadeem, Express News reported on Friday.
According to police, the explosion took place inside the mosque, with reports confirming several injuries. District police officer (DPO) Asif Bahadur told the media that explosive materials had been planted inside the mosque.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident and security has been increased in the region. The condition of injured people remains vague and more details are expected as the investigation continues.
