Mumford & Sons were the musical guests on the latest episode of Saturday evening live on February 28, and they brought a surprise guest.
The folk-rock group made up of Marcus Mumford, Ben Lovett and Ted Dwane took the stage to perform songs from their latest album, Prize fighterand I sang Elastic man with Hozier.
Their performance also included an appearance by The National’s Aaron Dessner, which doubled the fans’ enthusiasm.
Videos of the performance taken at Studio 8H went viral across social media, as fans expressed their joy over the return of Mumford & Sons and the surprise guests.
The song Elastic man is a collaboration between the someone new hitmaker and the group.
Prize fighterwhich marks the second album since the group’s return after seven years, features numerous collaborations as the group describes their project as a collaborative effort between friends.
They co-produced and co-wrote the album with Dessner and worked with Gracie Abrams and Chris Stapleton on tracks for the project.
