The winter weather in Pakistan continues to show contrasting conditions, the snowfall always in progress in Murrier and the dry weather settles in the rest of the Punjab.

According to the Pakistan meteorological department, the drought period will persist for the coming days, with temperatures gradually increasing, Express News reported.

This dry time should last three to four more days in Punjab, including Lahore, where daily temperatures have already started to increase.

Meanwhile, while some parts of punjab have a cloudy time, including most areas of higher punjab, the rainy chances are low. Meteorological experts have confirmed that there would be no significant precipitation in the region in the coming days.

On the other hand, the snowfall continues in Murriere, adding to the winter attraction of the mountain station.

The authorities take the necessary precautions to manage the roads, with teams from the Communication and Works Department (C&W) spreading salt on the highways to prevent ice formation.

The snow removal operations are carried out with the help of snow -beaters and blowers to ensure clear roads for travelers.

In addition, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) is expected to attend rain accompanied by thunderstorms, with a drop in the expected temperature in various districts, said the meteorological department.

While most areas in the province are likely to feel dry and cold, the upper regions will see an intensification of winter conditions.

According to the forecasters, districts such as Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Malakand and Hazara are expected to receive precipitation with thunderstorms. Likewise, Mansehra, Kohistan, Battagram, Mohmand, Bajaur and Kurram are also likely to see precipitation.

The ministry also predicted snowfall in the superior regions of the province, in particular in the hilly regions, which could have an impact on travel conditions.

In the past 24 hours, Lower Dir recorded the highest precipitation at 11 mm, followed by Kalam with 9 mm, Mir Khani with 7 mm and Drosh with 6 mm.

Chitral and Malam Jabba each received 3 mm of rain, while Kakol recorded 2 mm. Saidu Sharif from Swat and Takht Bhai saw 1 mm of precipitation.

Snowfall has been reported in mountainous areas, Kalam receiving 5 inches and Malam Jabba recording 1 inch.
