Princess of Wales Kate Middleton shocked the world with her voluminous blonde hairstyle in early September, sparking speculation that she was wearing a wig.
The future queen showed off her stunning blonde makeover alongside her husband Prince William as the heir to the throne made an official visit to London’s Natural History Museum.
The royal source said, “Kate changed things up for a few weeks,” noting that she quickly went back to being a brunette.
Kate Middleton’s battle with cancer was exhausting, and she wanted to put it behind her, the source said, adding, “Not only did she get a new house with William, but she also got a new project! It wasn’t a subtle change, and that was definitely the intention.”
Following Kate Middleton’s blonde makeover, some sources believed the princess donned a blonde wig after possibly losing her gorgeous locks during her cancer treatments.

“She’s known for her long, shiny, full, vibrant hair, and it’s probably thinning from all the treatments she’s had.”

The close confidant added that Prince William also “loved the new look.”
