Islamabad: Record efforts of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the second quarter of 2025 (April to June) amounted to 456 billion rupees, bearing total recovery for the first semester (January to June) to Rs547 billion, The news reported on Sunday.
In addition, the funds were returned to 12,611 victims in various cases of fraud.
The NAB has recovered an amazing total of RS 5,854.73 billion mobile and real estate properties in the past two years. The office unveiled a performance report in the middle of the year for 2025, reaffirming its unshakable commitment to fighting corruption and putting strong resistance to the elements that violated the laws.
The report highlights the unwavering dedication of the office to safeguarding public interests thanks to intensified efforts to recover erroneous funds.
These recoveries are 700% more than those of RS839.08 billion recovered since the creation of the office. While 12,611 people affected by various cases of public cheating were also remunerated.
On the recovery of RS547.31 billion for the first two quarters of 2025, mobile and real estate properties of a value of RS532.33 billion were paid / discounts to various ministries and departments of federal and provincial governments as well as financial institutions.
The incessant efforts of the office are evident by the resumption of RS456.3 billion in the second quarter of 2025, marking a substantial increase of RS365.29 billion compared to RS91.01 billion rupees in the first quarter of the same year.
Currently, NAB actively coordinates with income services from all provinces to recover the assets and properties of the State illegally held by corrupt elements. The preliminary estimates indicate that the grounds of the state worth approximately 5 billions of rupees are illegal and will be recovered.
