Islamabad:
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi criticized India for rejecting the offer of US President Donald Trump to mediate on the question of cashmere, describing the proof of refusal of “New Delhi’s warlike state of mind.
In a statement marking Martyrs’ Day of Kashmir, Naqvi said that the offer represented a missed opportunity for a peaceful dialogue. “India’s rejection has revealed its reluctance to resolve disputes by diplomatic means,” he said.
Naqvi paid tribute to the 22 cashmiris martyred on July 13, 1931, during a peaceful demonstration against the Dogra regime. He described the event as a symbol of “inflexible resistance”.
