Harrison Burton is on his second NASCAR circuit in as many years after being released by Wood Racing last year in the CUP series.
He is now, according to his own words, improved his stock in the XFINITY series with six TOP-10, including in each of his last three races (he only had two last year).
But with the Indy 500 to come, Burton admits that it would be good to take the wheel in this race.

“I like to run anything,” Burton told PK Press Club Digital in a recent interview.
Burton succeeded in Indianapolis Motor Speedway. During his very first race there in 2022, he finished third.
But Burton’s love for “Motorsports in general” makes him at least somewhat interested in directing Indy 500.
“I watch F1 every weekend that I can, Indycar as much as I can, Rally Cross, Formula E, Motorcross, everything. I love it. Of course, if this opportunity arises,” he said.
“My real passion is Nascar, and I would never want to leave the Nascar space. Taking driving in Indy in a cutting car was one of the coolest things I have ever done in my career. See certainly the prestige and the appeal of Indy 500, and meet guys who have run there, talk about what it means for these guys, it’s really cool.”

For the moment, Burton will have to wait until July 26 until he walks on Indianapolis, a track he has in his top three, with Daytona and Darlington.
“You are going to Indy, and you transport right away. You look at a wall all the time, it’s a 90 degree turn, and you are like,” OK, I see exactly where I will hit if I don’t do this corner, “said Burton.” It’s so fun. It’s always cool to go to a place like that, just history and stories from there. This makes it more special when you can have a good day. “”
Talladega was outside looking, but “the atmosphere is unrivaled.”

Burton will be back on the track on May 24, one day before Indy 500, at BETMGM 300 in Charlotte.
