The Echopark Automotive Grand Prix will take place on Sunday at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, and a sports figure will be on site to provide the invocation before the race.
Riley Gaines will be in Austin to deliver prayer before drivers are 95 rpm around the roadway.
“It is a surreal honor to deliver the invocation before the race for the race on Sunday at Circuit of the Americas. I am grateful for the opportunity to direct this moment of prayer from our Heavenly Father, by asking for security, the sporting spirit and a spirit of unity for everyone – the pilots, the teams and the fans,” said Gaines.

Steele gave invocation to the same race two years ago.
Gaines has been an ardent defender to keep the transgender athletes outside of female and female sports since she competed with Lia Thomas, a trans swimmer who won a title in Division I of the NCAA.

Georgia passes the “Riley Gaines Act” which aims to prohibit trans athletes from participating in female sports
Gaines was recently on site at the White House to see President Donald Trump sign an executive decree which aims to prevent biological men from competing with the opposite sex. However, several states did not respect order, which led to at least three investigations on title IX.
This is the third official race of the NASCAR season, which opened its doors with William Byron’s second consecutive victory at Daytona 500. Christopher Bell won the checkered flag at the Ambetter Health 400 last week in Atlanta.
