Lahore: The renowned singer Naseebo Lal would have been subjected to domestic violence by her husband in the city of Shahdara, Lahore.
In the first information report (FIR) filed with the Shahdara city police station, the singer said her husband would have abused, assaulted and committed a “serious act of violence”.
Around 5:00 pm on March 14, she said, her husband, Naveed Hussain returned home – located in Ali Park, Garhi Mohalla – and immediately “started to abuse me”.
Naseebo said her husband had picked up an elongated brick nearby and hit her on her face, causing serious wounds on the left side of her face and nose.
“He often quarrels with me, but today he attacked me by hitting me with a brick and by making me, committing a serious act of violence. Judicial measures should be taken against him,” she asked.

The report was recorded under article 345 (assault or criminal force to a woman with the intention of indicating her modesty) of the Pakistan Criminal Code (PPC).
