Nawaz Sharif advises PM Shehbaz to prioritize national interest in negotiations with PTI

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif has given advice to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif regarding negotiations with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), stressing that the national interest of country should be the priority.

According to Express News, the two leaders met on Sunday for a meeting that lasted two hours, which was also attended by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and other senior party leaders. The discussion revolved around the current political situation, the ongoing negotiations with the PTI and the economic stability of the country.

Nawaz stressed the importance of unity in the country, calling for all political factions to work together for the common good. “For the sake of the nation, we must all come together,” he said, reinforcing the need for a united front.

Prime Minister Shehbaz briefed Nawaz on the progress of negotiations with the PTI, sharing that the country’s economic situation was improving and overall national conditions were moving in a positive direction. He briefed his brother on the current status of negotiations and PTI’s demands, saying the country’s economic recovery was on the right track.

The meeting also discussed the potential involvement of other stakeholders in the negotiation process, beyond the government committee.

Nawaz expressed his belief that political stability was essential for the economic well-being of the country, adding that the PML-N would continue to serve the people effectively, ensuring relief from inflation and promoting economic stability.
