Speculations quickly started to swirl that Tatum had injured his Achilles.
On Tuesday, the Celtics confirmed that the star striker broke his right Achilles tendon. The team also announced that Tatum had undergone medical procedure to repair the torn tendon.

The Celtics described Tatum surgery as “successful”, but have warned that there is currently “no calendar” for its return. The 27 -year -old should recover completely, according to the Celtics.
Tatum rushed to the ball as he tried to find possession for the Celtics at 2:58 in the fourth quarter. He then seemed to encounter a serious problem with his right leg, before immediately calling for a dead time.

Tatum seemed to suffer from considerable pain when he was lying on the ground and caught his leg. He was then helped to get up and helped out of the field before sitting in a wheelchair.
The series returns to Boston for match 5 Wednesday while Celtics seek to avoid elimination.
