The New York Knicks literally take the streets of New York.

The street name of the streets was before the first match of the Eastern Conference final between the Knicks and the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday evening.

The Knicks amazed the Boston Celtics and beat the defending champions in six games and qualified for their first conference final in 25 years.

“The Knicks embody the spirit of New York – Resilient, passionate and unstoppable,” Adams said in a statement.

“On the way to a championship, we recognize the hard work and the determination that brought this team to the final of the Eastern Conference and we are celebrating this team by temporarily co-nominating the streets of our cities so that all New Yorkers can celebrate their Knicks Pride. Nearly 8.5 million New Yorkers, and millions of others, are behind the New York Knicks while amazing.”

The streets will be co-nominated as long as the Knicks will always be in the hunt for the playoffs. Each panel is blue and orange and has the player’s name and jersey number.

Last season, the Pacers eliminated a team of Knicks which was decimated by injuries in seven games in the semi-finals of the Eastern Conference.

The 15 players on the list of knicks received a street name:
