The New York Knicks plan to hire a successor to Tom Thibodeau does not seem to be so well at the start of the NBA’s off -season.
The rumor says that the team was interested in the former deputy coach of Cleveland Cavaliers, Jordan Ott, before taking the Phoenix Suns coaching position and the head coach of the horsemen, Johnnie Bryant, that the Knicks have not yet reached the trigger.

ESPN reported in the past few days that the Knicks had attempted to contact the current head coaches of several teams in order to attract them by trade. Among those on the list were the Dallas Mavericks, Jason Kidd, Chris Finch of Minnesota Timberwolves, Quin Snyder des Houston Rockets and Quin Snyder. Everything in vain.

“Knicks must be the fucking people of the most stupid people in the world,” Barkley told NBA TV before match 3 of the NBA final. “You don’t get a good coach like that and don’t have a plan. I mean, Thibs did a hell of a job, obviously something is happening there. You don’t have a plan? And now, three coaches have refused you. You must have a plan, guy. And they don’t have a plan. I don’t know what’s going to do.”
The Knicks fired Thibodeau after the team has reached its most distant place in the playoffs since 2000.

New York had 51-31 and had a decent team built around Jalen Brunson. We do not know what the offseason will hold for the organization.
