Lesley Slaton, chief officer of the NBA Dei, informed the colleagues in an email on Wednesday that she resigns, according to Adweek.
Brown joined the NBA as a Chief Officer of the Dei in 2023. Before that, she was chief of the Dei chief in HP since 2015.
Adweek reported that the league would hire a replacement.

“The values of diversity and inclusion are at the heart of the culture of the NBA, the WNBA and our other leagues and will remain at the heart of our business and our workplace,” said the e-mail.
Other American sports organizations have taken measures to distinguish themselves from Dei.
MLB has completely removed the “diversity” references from its career page.
