Draymond Green does not have exactly many friends with fans bases, but a line was crossed on Wednesday evening, according to his head coach.
Green, still one to encourage, is currently a public enemy No. 1 in Houston while the Golden State Warriors face the Rockets in the first round of the NBA qualifiers.
It is hardly a territory for one or the other team. It was their fifth qualifying meeting since the 2014-15 season, which launched the Warriors dynasty. Golden State won these four series, including two finals of the Western Conference (of which Houston directed, 3-2 in 2018).

So everyone in the field is already hated as is. But it’s normal for green anyway.
During match 2 of the series, Rockets fans pierced green with songs “F — You Draymond”, and the Warriors head coach, Steve Kerr, was not delighted.
“It is not ideal when a crowd sings, ‘f you, Draymond.’ It’s just, I don’t know, “Kerr started. “I mean, they did it in Boston a few years ago in the final. That’s what it is.
“Draymond, he has always been there. He’s an instigator; he will always be in the mixture; and because of his career, his championships, his fire, he will be a lightning rod, and that is part of this. I would prefer that the fans can use a little more discretion and remember that the guy has children. I just think that “crazy” is a little too much.
Green, however, seemed completely disturbed by them.

“It’s not original,” he said. “I have already been there,” won a championship while it was happening. So, yes, it’s not really original.

Green has always been known, as Kerr said, “being in the mixture”. But he reached a head last season when he was suspended twice.
The first was for five games after putting Minnesota Timberwolves Rudy Gobert center in a strangulation during a fight. Shortly after his return, he struck Nurkic in the face and was suspended indefinitely. In another match last season, he was ejected for less than four minutes, and he normally finds himself near the top of the list of technical leaders.
