The NBA postponed the New Orleans Pelicans and Milwaukee Bucks game on Wednesday due to the historic snowstorm that hit the region.
With the storm dropping about a foot of snow, it made travel difficult as the typically hot city was unprepared for the elements.
The Bucks went to town Monday to beat the snowstorm, a day earlier than they usually would have been for a game against the Pelicans.

But with temperatures remaining in the 30s Wednesday, many major highways in metropolitan areas were closed by authorities and the city’s surface roads were still covered in ice.
Area schools and businesses remained closed Wednesday, and Louis Armstrong International Airport canceled all commercial departures due to weather conditions. Given these factors, the NBA postponed the game, with no date currently set for the game to be made up.

The Bucks’ next game is against the Miami Heat in Milwaukee on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
After this game against the Heat, the Bucks are going on a road trip to the West Coast, starting Saturday, and will not have another home game until February 2.
The Bucks are next scheduled to face the Pelicans near the end of the regular season at home on April 9.

The Pelicans, on the other hand, are scheduled to play Friday and Saturday, making it difficult for the NBA to schedule the postponed game anytime soon.
The Pelicans have struggled this season with a 12-32 record, the second-worst team in the Western Conference.
The Bucks have had much more success than the Pelicans and are 24-17, good for fourth place in the Eastern Conference.
