NCCIA PTI FOUNDER’S TROVES’S SONDS

Rawalpindi:

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has launched an investigation into the alleged use of the X account (formerly Twitter) of Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI) to propagate the anti-state story.

According to sources, a team of three members of the NCCIA, led by Ayaz Khan, visited Adiala prison to question the founder of the PTI. However, they added, the founder of the PTI refused to cooperate with the investigators and insisted on the presence of his lawyers.

The team had asked several questions, notably which operates Imran’s X account, from which it is accessible, to whom access was given, and if it were aware that the content displayed of the account was anti-state.

The sources indicated that the founder of the PTI refused to disclose who exploited his account. He demanded a written questionnaire and insisted to answer only in the presence of his lawyers.

The NCCIA team remained inside Adiala prison for more than an hour but returned without progress.
