Neal McDonough paid a high price for his rule without kissing for his acting roles.
Neal, who appeared in successful shows like Desperate Housewives, Minority Report, American Horror Story, And Costumesshared that Hollywood leaders stopped launching it when he refused to kiss a woman on the screen.
While appearing on the Nothing is said pOdcast (exclusive shared by TMZ), he noted that he had always written in his contracts that he would not kiss on the screen.
Neal, who shares five children with his wife Ruvé Robertson, has been married to her since 2003 and noted that it was not his wife who had asked him to stay away from other women.
“I had always had in my contracts that I would not kiss another woman on the screen,” said McDonough. “My wife had no problem with that. It was me, really, who had a problem with that. When I couldn’t do it, and they couldn’t understand it, Hollywood turned to me completely. They would not let me be part of the show.”
He shared: “For two years, I could not find a job and I lost everything you might imagine.”
“Not only the houses and material things, but your boastful, your cool, which you are, your identity-everything. My identity was an actor and a very good. And once you do not have this identity, you are a little lost in a tail,” he explained.
