- The rumors suggest that the super GPU models of the NVIDIA RTX 5000 series are on the right track for the launch later in 2025
- The RTX 5080 Super is supposed to have 24 GB of VRAM, corresponding to the RTX 4090
- It seems that this is the perfect opportunity for Nvidia to improve its launch accidents of Blackwell
It has been a long time since Nvidia launched its GPUs of the RTX 5000 series at the end of January, followed by other configurations in the following months, after a Keynote these 2025 which presented the GPU Blackwell. However, it seems that Nvidia is not yet carried out with the new GPU launches in 2025.
According to Tweaktown, Nvidia should launch super models from the RTX 5000 series later this holiday season, which generally means November or December. The RTX 5080, RTX 5070 TI and RTX 5070 are the GPUs which would have received superglaged, with the new 5080 and 5070 Ti which would have used 24 GB of VRAM.
The price is not finalized, and there are no figures from which to work at this stage. But since the previous decision of the Green team reduced the RTX 4080 Super Price (as a slightly more powerful GPU) compared to the standard model, we could review a similar model.
There is no level of controversy level which wrapped the Blackwell GPUs, with missing specifications (ROPS), a lack of availability and, above all, prices inflated on several online retailers. With the super models of the RTX 5000 series, NVIDIA and, in particular, its partners of the Board of Directors, have the possibility of repairing these wrongs.
A combination of improved performance in all areas and adjusted prices can do wonders – and this applies mainly to RTX 5080 to fill the space on the RTX 4090 (using supposedly 24 GB of VRAM). It can be even more interesting to see a great RTX 5060 using more VRAM, but we will have to wait and see.
Analysis: if the prices of these super GPUs are out of control, then forget that I even mentioned this …
Above all, if these rumors of Super GPU model are legitimate, prices will again determine their success. Although I know that Nvidia can have good intentions with more reasonable prices, all this work could be canceled by the partners of the Board of Directors and the retailers considerably marking prices.
This is the same problem that Botched launched the Radeon RX 9000 series of AMD for many; The Radeon RX 9070 XT was considered the inexpensive and powerful alternative to the GPUs of Blackwell Mid to High-Tier, at $ 599 / £ 569 (around $ 944 in), but the market told another story with prices above that.
Fortunately, prices have recently reduced original retail prices, which I see with more stock and availability for GPUs from Team Green and Team Red than ever before.
I hope prices can stabilize and stay in reasonable ranges leading to the possible launch of the new super GPU models in Nvidia, as this could reduce the chances of ridiculous pricing. Let’s look at this space …
