The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved RS1,89 relief per unit of electric price for consumers through the country under quarterly adjustment costs for April-June 2025.
The reduction in the power rate – planned to provide 55.87 billion emergency rupees – will apply across the country, including electric consumers K. However, Lif -Ligne and Prepares meter are excluded from the advantage.

The adjustment will be in force for three months, from August to October 2025, subject to the final approval by the federal government.
The decision comes after distribution companies requested pricing reductions within the framework of the quarterly mechanism. The Nepra led a public hearing on August 4 before giving its approval.
Quarterly tariff adjustments are used to reconcile the costs linked to the production costs of electricity and capacity, separated from the monthly adjustments of fuel prices.
