Police revealed that the daughter of Malcolm-Jamal Warner was not with him in the water at the time of the tragic drowning incident.
Clarification occurred Thursday in a recent declaration by the Costa Rica Judicial Inquiry Agency (OIJ).
“Mr. Warner played with his daughter by the sea at a given time. He then left her out of the water, and he and a friend of his friends entered the sea”, “ People magazine Cited the declaration, translated from Spanish to English.
“It was then that they were swept away by the current, and the friend managed to get out,” continued the press release.
“However, Mr. Warner could not go out and was withdrawn by several people on the beach. He received care from the Red Cross officials, but was declared dead on the scene.”
The officials confirmed the cause of the death of Warner as “asphyxiation by submersion”. The 54 -year -old actor’s body was officially identified by the Costa Rica national police and will be repatriated by a funeral service hired by the family.
The incident survey remains in progress. Warner, who died Monday during family vacation in Costa Rica, leaves her eight -year -old wife and daughter behind her.
