NEW MLB: Having become the first Reds team in 65 years to lose three consecutive games 1-0

Thursday, the 1-0 defeat of Cincinnati Reds against the Brewers Milwaukee was their third consecutive defeat 1-0, becoming the first MLB team in 65 years to achieve such a feat.

No MLB team had three consecutive defeats 1-0 since the Philadelphia Phillies did in May 1960.

Only six teams in the history of the League have never had three consecutive defeats 1-0, and no team has ever had four consecutive defeats – at least for the moment.

The defeat 1-0 steak started on Tuesday against the Texas Rangers when Nathan Eovaldi launched a complete laundering. Jack Leiter and the lifts of four rangers continued to keep the Reds offensive out of the score sheet on Wednesday.

The irony is that before the last three games of the derisory attack, the Reds bats broke out on Monday when they won 14-3 against the Rangers. Since this offensive explosion, however, red bats have been dormant.

“No one is satisfied with what happened in the last three games,” Reds manager Terry Francona said on Thursday. “We will discover it together. I feel firmly on this subject.”
