New MLB: the old dodger Julio Urías has suspended to the stars break

Julio Urías, champion of World Series with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2020 and a former leader of the Victories and the NL era, was suspended during this year’s stars break for violating the domestic violence of the MLB, sexual assault policy and children’s mistreatment policy, Rob Manfred announced on Friday.

Urías’s agent Scott Boras said the launcher did not publish any declaration.

The 28 -year -old left -handed launcher has not played since September 1, 2023.

Urías did not argue any competition in May to a domestic battery manager for offense. The penalty was the second for Urías under politics after a suspension of 20 games in 2019. MLB said it would be restored to the restricted list on July 17.

He was arrested on September 3, 2023, outside the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, where he had attended a football match of the major leagues. The Ministry of Public Security said that he had been contacted by someone whose name had not been published publicly about a physical altercation between a man and a woman.

Urías was initially accused of a bodily injury crime chief to a spouse or a cohabitant, and he was put on administrative leave by MLB on September 6.

Urías did not argue any competition for a conduct of the offense of domestic drums on May 1 and four other charges of offense were abandoned.

Los Angeles City’s prosecutor’s office spokesperson Ivor Pine said Urías had been placed on 36 months of summary probation and sentenced to 30 days of community work. Urías must also take a 52 -week domestic violence counseling course, pay for domestic violence fees, have no weapons, do not use strength or violence, pay for the victim and respect a protection order.

“After examining all the evidence available, I concluded that Mr. Urías had violated our policy and that the discipline is appropriate,” the baseball commissioner Rob Manfred said on Friday.

MLB said that Urías had agreed to be assessed by the joint board of directors established by MLB and the association of players and to comply with one of its recommendations.

Urías became a free agent after the World Series 2023 when his one year contract of $ 4.7 million expired.

Urías was also arrested in May 2019, suspected of domestic battery. Although he was suspended by the MLB, he was not prosecuted by the Los Angeles prosecutor to the state that he finished a 52 -week domestic violence advice program.

In eight seasons of major leagues, all with the Dodgers, Urías has a 60-25-year file with an MPM of 3.11. He led the National League with an MPM of 2.16 in 2022 and was a member of the team which won the World Series 2020, going 4-0 with a stop and an MPM of 1.17 in six matches in the playoffs.
