- Supergirl‘s first trailer could be released in a few days
- The appearance of a new X/Twitter account sparked a new wave of rumors about its debut
- DC Comic Book Movie Hits Theaters Next June
Attention, Supergirl fans, as the first trailer for the DC Universe (DCU) movie could be days away from receiving its world premiere.
With Supergirl slated for release on June 26, 2026, there are less than seven months left – at the time of publication – until its theatrical release. And, if the appearance of a new X/Twitter account is to be believed, its first teaser could be released in early December.
Indeed, the Supergirl The trailer rumor mill started on November 26 when a new X/Twitter account, which goes by the handle @supergirl and goes by the name SupergirlFilm, suddenly appeared online (thanks to DCUFilmNews for spotting it first).
At the time of writing, the account does not have a profile picture or post, nor has it been verified with a golden check mark to indicate that it is an official account. However, he is followed by over 5,000 people, and while none of those following him are part of the cast and crew of the DCU film, the timing of the account being live is nonetheless quite significant.
Why should the first Supergirl trailer arrive before the end of 2025?
Because the 2025 edition of Brazil Comic-Con (CCXP), which will take place from December 4 to 7 this year, is less than a week away.
After San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), CCXP is arguably the most notable convention where big announcements are made by comic book giants. Marvel and DC. Reveals at CCXP aren’t usually as big as those made at SDCC, but given that it’s the last such event that takes place each year, it’s the last time these industry titans will drum up excitement for the projects they’ll be releasing in the coming months.
The heart of #CCXP25 is here! ❤️ In our experience you will have epic films, very diverse, party battles and, clearly, strands to make you experience this moment at home. Get some old folks over here to plan your venue! 👀#WarnerNaCCXP pic.twitter.com/pFIht7rb9KNovember 18, 2025
As confirmed by the X/Twitter message above, published on the Warner Bros. account. Brazil, on November 18, DC will be present at CCXP 2025. Additionally, the tweet suggests that DC will begin its promotional campaign for the film formerly known as Supergirl: the woman of tomorrow – find out why DCU co-head James Gunn wanted Supergirl’The name should be simplified – also at the event.
What better way to kick off your months-long marketing campaign for one of the most exciting new films of 2026 than to show off the first official images from said superhero film? In my opinion, there isn’t – and that’s why I’m more confident than ever that a teaser for the DCU Chapter One movie will be revealed at CCXP 2025.
Okay, if one of these is revealed at the aforementioned convention, that doesn’t mean it will be released to the public around the same time as its premiere at CCXP. But, with leaked recordings of the trailer potentially appearing online in the hours and/or days following its likely reveal, it would be in DC Studios’ best interest to release SupergirlThe first teaser online shortly after.
I’ll be covering the trailer whenever it comes out, so keep your eyes glued to TechRadar for more. In the meantime, check out everything we know so far about Supergirl and know who will appear there via my Supergirl guide to actors and characters.
