James Gunn’s official trailer Superman The film has taken off and this confirms that the hero holder of David Corenswet will compete against another enemy in the highly anticipated comic strip film.
A few moments after his world premiere during the Upfront 2025 presentation of Warner Bros, the last teaser of the DC Universe (DCU), which commits the cardinal sin that I did not want SupermanThe second trailer was published online. Before digging into his biggest subject of discussion, that is to say who is the aforementioned villain, however, looks at him for the first (or on the 10, I do not judge!) Time below because there is a plot To unpack and enjoy.
To watch
The last trailer for the film DCU Chapter One occurs almost five months after SupermanThe first Krypto Scepto teaser landed online.
Since then, Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios slowly started accelerating their marketing campaign for the latest adventure on the big screen of Superman. This promotional thrust has completely taken off in recent weeks, with the release of a new Superman Clip that showed the fortress of breathtaking solitude of the film, many television spots and its latest series of sequences leading the charge for a DC studios campaign have nicknamed “Superman’s summer”.
Who is Boravia’s hammer in Superman?
Very well, then who is this armored individual carrying combinations that saint fights against Metropolis? According to an edition of the Daily Planet newspaper which appeared in the first trailer for the film, they are simply known as Hammer of Boravia.
Now Boravia is a fictitious nation that has appeared in Superman’s comics. However, the so-called hammer is an original character created specifically for one of the new most exciting films of 2025. Given their mysterious title, the hammer is from this country, which seems to have been reused as a Middle East state for the DC cinematographic franchise of Gunn and Peter Safran.
Here is the thing, however: I am not convinced that the Boravia hammer is a totally new metahuman that has been invented for Superman. I believe that it is simply a cunning and that the individual under armor is one of the other two enemies – but not the one who gave SupermanThe image of the first look – that Clark Kent of Corenswet will have to face in this film.
Potentially large spoilers follow Superman. Do not proceed if you do not want this possible history detail to be ruined before the release!
The first option is that the Boravia hammer is none other than Lex Luthor by Nicholas Hoult. As one of Superman’s most notorious antagonists, it is not an exaggeration to assume that the incredibly gifted supervillain could invent and exercise a super-surge to the quasi-powerman who would allow him to go aside with someone that Luthor clearly despises.
That said, I can’t see Luthor being the only one to mask as a super when you are. After all, it is not in your nature to get your hands dirty. Instead, I think it is a different enemy and the one we have already seen SupermanFirst trailer: Ultraman.
Think about (or, rather, re-rear) said Teaser and you remember that the steel man fought someone wearing a black suit in an American football stadium. Obviously, Supes has a very difficult difficult period with this individual – so much, in fact, that many observers have affirmed Ultraman must have been a clone cultivated in the laboratory of Clark Kent / Kal -El.
It is not outside the areas of the possibility. A nasty version and alternative reality of Superman, that called Ultraman, already exists in DC Comics. Then there is the fact that the Boravia hammer is seen drawing laser beams under his visor SupermanThe last trailer. The vision of heat is one of the most emblematic superpowers of Sups, it therefore goes without saying that a clone would have a similar capacity.
Add to the prospect that Luthor realizes that the only way he can defeat Superman is to genetically manage a clone that can literally beat Kent in a head-to-head battle, and the evidence seems undeniable. The Boravia / Ultraman hammer has be a replica of the holder metahuman.
Of course, these are all speculations, but all the signs indicate that the hammer is a movement of bait and change from Gunn – the one where the hammer will ultimately be unmasked as a utraman and, by proxy, a carbon copy of Superman himself. We will discover with certainty when the film has obtained takeoff in the rooms of the world on July 11.
